Panels and Rivets

Panels and Rivets

June 5th, 2015

It’s June. That means CMON Expo is this month! We’re really getting down to the wire, folks. Just two weeks until we open the doors and start this year’s show.

Of course, we’ve still got plenty to talk about that’ll be at the show. This week’s update we’ve got a new Rivet Wars event as well as a bunch of new panels to talk about.

We’ll start with all the new panels that’ve been added to the Panels Page. There’s quite a lot to go through (you can check the individual panel pages for the full descriptions). For starters, we’ll take a look at the latest version of Zombicide with a panel about Black Plague. Next, there’ll be a discussion about CMON’s post-apocalyptic game, Dark Age, and what’s on the horizon for that. Then, from CMON’s oldest game, to one of their newest, as Wrath of Kings gets its moment in the spotlight. Crowdfunding is a major way games get funded and come to market. CMON’s sort of known for their Kickstarter campaigns and there’ll be a panel discussing what makes a successful campaign. There will also be a panel on The Others, a new game coming out from Guillotine Games and Studio McVey. If horror isn’t your style, but chibi fantasy is, you’ll want to sit in on the Journey to Arcadia panel. We’ll also be having a group of esteemed podcasters talk about what it’s like to do regular series as well as vlogging. The last panel to announce it the CoolMiniOrNot State of Affairs. See a recap of what we’ve been up to, as well as a look at what we have coming up in the next year. That’s one panel not to be missed!

As for our new Event on the schedule, that would be Capture of Gadcan Island. This event takes Rivet Wars off of the tiles and puts it on the tabletop as two teams of 6 take on one-another in a no-holds-barred brawl for control. Will the Allies or the Blight be the ones with their flag on the hill at the end? That’s up to you to decide!

That’s it for this week’s update. Stay tuned for more announcements about CMON Expo 2015!
And don’t forget! Pre-Registration for the show ends on Sunday! If you want to get a reduced price and a swag bag, you’d better go sign up!
