Black Plague City
Black banners hang from the walls and a black flag flies about the gate. This is the plague city you have been searching for. A cold wind blows across the the street as you walk into the city. The old Smith was correct, the city looks like a battlefield with barricades blocking footpaths and streets alike. Shutters flap with the breeze as you recall his words. “Get to my shop and find my key. It will open the lock to the well, and the secret path into the first manor house. You’ll need to find the other key in one of the merchant’s houses. Without it, you won’t reach the Necromancer. Please help us to be rid of this Necromancer and to free the land of his evil.” Lighting flashes above the two manor houses, illuminating the figures walking towards you. Fortunately, for now, the smith’s shop is in the other direction.
